Lisa A. Crawford, Behavior Consultant, C.O.O.

"I have my Bachelor and Master Degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University Southeast, and am beginning work on my Doctorate in Psychology.  I have worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities including autism, Down Syndrome, traumatic brain injury, prader willi syndrome, and individuals dually diagnosed with psychiatric needs since 1996. I have worked in sheltered workshops, as service coordinators for both group home and supported living sites in the past, and as a behavior specialist/behavior consultant for other companies before coming to work for Sweet Behavior.  I taught grades 3-12, including working with middle school students with developmental delays for sixteen years. I continuously read and study the research in this field as my son is in a supported living program with dual diagnosis himself. I serve clients in Clark, Floyd,  Harrison,  Jefferson, and Dubois Counties in Indiana.  In my spare time I enjoy reading, fishing, gardening, spending time with my son, husband, family, and my dogs."

"I earned my master's degree in 2014 and am pursuing an additional master's in applied behavior analysis from Ball State University.  My plan is to become a board certified behavior analyst when I am finished.  I have been working with children and adolescents in some capacity for over fifteen years.  I have years of experience working with children with autism, traumatic brain injuries, and typically developed children with severe emotional and behavioral challenges.  I also work at one the nation's largest psychiatric hospitals where I assisted in the opening, development, and supervision of a program that provides ABA and other services to adolescents with severe behavioral challenges. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, reading, listening to music, watching sports, and serving the people at my local church."

"I earned my master's degree in 2012 and I have been working with individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs for ten years.  My experience includes being an assistant manager of a group home for adult males with developmental disabilities and autism.  I also worked for six years at one of the nation's largest psychiatric hospitals.  There I worked as a program specialist coordinating the daily therapeutic activities and groups for adolescents with acquired brain injuries.  I also assisted the hospital in the planning and opening of a psychiatric residential treatment facility.  The majority of my time at the hospital was spent working with patients who had several behavioral needs and with forensic adolescent females.  In this program I worked as an Intervention Specialist under the supervisor of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst training staff on the proper implementation of behavior support plans. Over the past year I have worked as a Behavior Consultant in Southern Indiana providing behavioral supports to clients with various disorders such as autism, down syndrome, schizoaffective disorder, etc. I also serve  as the associate pastor  at my church in Jeffersonville.  My main responsibilities there are in the area of counseling and leadership development.  I am happily married to my lovely wife Beth and we have one daughter.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and church, reading, jogging, art, football, hockey, and soccer."
